SONNET ANALYSIS #1

Sonnet- poetic form which originated in Italy
Petrarch- Italian sonnet 14 lines starts octet (8 lines) ends sestet (6 lines) rhyme common, but not always
Shakespearean- 14 lines 3 quatrains (4 lines) 1 couplet (2 lines)
